Irish Girl Guide International Camp

Lough Key are proud to announce that they will be hosting the Irish Girl Guide International Camp from 4th - 11th July, 2012  -  CAMP 101 with its theme 'Together we can change our world'.

CAMP 101 is an excellent opportunity for the community of Boyle and Co. Roscommon to work together and showcase our natural treasures to the world.
IGG will work in partnership with activity providers and local suppliers to run activities every day for up to 2000 Guides.

There will also be a visitor's day during this week when the camp will be open to the public, parents and guests.

CAMP 101 will be the culmination of 3 years of centenary celebrations of Guiding for 10 million Guides worldwide.  The camp will be an international camp with Guides from around the world attending.  The aim of CAMP 101 is to provide an opportunity for girls to explore their potential to influence the world around them.

PLEASE NOTE:
From the 3rd July to 12th July, 2012 inclusive, CAMP 101 will have exclusive use of the Visitor Centre, its attractions, the Caravan & Camping Park, the Great Lawn and Car Park.

There will also be restrictions on access to the park in place.
The Caravan & Camping Park will be non-accessible from the 1st July to the 15th July, 2012.

Irish Girl Guides

    Lough Key Forest and Activity Park is a joint venture between Coillte Teoranta and Roscommon County Council. The project is also funded by the Irish Government and part-financed by the European Union under the National Development Plan's Tourism Product Development Scheme, which is administered by Fáilte Ireland.
